Cold Pressed Oil delivered to Ballari

Ballari grows the seed we press. Groundnut, sunflower and jowar are all district crops here, alongside cotton and the rice that the Tungabhadra canals make possible around Siruguppa and Kampli. This is dry country — about 639 mm of rain in an average year — and the oilseeds that do well in it are exactly the ones a Ballari kitchen has always cooked with. We press them unrefined and send them to Ballari city and across the district.

Which of our oils suits Ballari cooking

Groundnut oil (kadalekai enne) is the obvious one in a groundnut district. It has body and a nutty character, which is what you want for ennegayi, and it holds heat better than most oils, so it also handles the deep frying — nippattu, kodubale, bajji, mirchi. If you grind shenga chutney pudi at home, stir a spoon of cold pressed groundnut oil in at the end: refined oil has had its own taste stripped out by design, so it carries nothing.

Safflower oil (kusube enne) is the lighter, milder North Karnataka oil. For jolada rotti with madaki palya or zunka, and for everyday vegetables, it stays out of the way of the food instead of competing with it.

Sunflower oil (suryakanti enne) is the neutral choice, and sunflower is grown in the district too. If your household wants an oil that tastes of almost nothing, this is it.

For the rice cooking in the canal belt — anna, chitranna, bisi bele bath — many families here use a coconut or sesame oil for the tempering. Our sesame oil (ellenne) is the stronger, more aromatic of the two. The full range also has coconut, niger and castor oil, and our deepam oil for pooja lamps burns steady with no added fragrance.

Not sure which to start with? Groundnut or sunflower oil is the comparison most Ballari households are actually choosing between.

Ballari is a fair distance from our press, so if you need oil for a fixed date — a habba, a wedding, a naming ceremony — order with room to spare or choose express. Full terms are on our Karnataka delivery page.

One thing worth knowing before you pick a size: the 5 L can and the 15 L tin work out to the same rate per litre as the smaller packs, so there is no bulk premium and no bulk discount. Buy the size your kitchen will actually finish within three to six months of opening, which is how long we ask you to give an unrefined oil once the seal is broken. In a Ballari summer that matters more than it does on the coast — heat and light are what turn an unrefined oil, so a cool dark shelf is doing real work. Our guide to storing cold pressed oil goes into it.

Why you can check us rather than trust us

We buy seed directly from Karnataka farmers and press it mechanically at low temperature. No hexane or any other solvent. Nothing bleached, deodorised or blended, and no preservatives. That is why our oil is darker and smells stronger than refined oil off a supermarket shelf, and why a little sediment settling at the bottom of the bottle is normal rather than a fault.

Our FSSAI licence number is 1122632300006 and it is printed on every label, so you can verify it yourself on the FSSAI FoSCoS portal before ordering. Across the store we are rated 4.65 out of 5 from more than 8,600 customer reviews. The honest reading of that is that it is not 5 out of 5 — unrefined oil looks and tastes different from what many people are used to, and some customers do not like it. We would rather you knew that in advance than found out after paying.

More detail is on our process page. If Ballari is not your city, the nearest pages to you are Chitradurga and Davanagere.

Questions from Ballari customers

Do you deliver to Ballari?
Yes. We deliver to Ballari city and to every taluk in Ballari district — Ballari, Kurugodu, Siruguppa, Kampli and Sanduru.

How long does delivery to Ballari take?
Orders are packed within 2 to 3 business days. After that, free delivery takes 7 to 14 days, standard delivery at ₹49 takes 3 to 7 days, and express delivery at ₹99 takes 1 to 3 days.

Which oil should I use for ennegayi and shenga chutney pudi?
Groundnut oil. It has more body and a nutty character that stands up to the masala in ennegayi, and a spoon stirred into shenga chutney pudi at the end carries the flavour in a way refined oil cannot.

Will cold pressed oil keep in the Ballari heat?
It keeps, but heat and light shorten its life, so store it in a closed bottle on a cool dark shelf rather than next to the stove, and finish an opened bottle within three to six months.

How do I pay?
All orders are prepaid online at checkout.
